This camp saw the collection of numerous high ranking Shotokan instructors from several different countries and backgrounds. It was also recognition of North Americas Shihankai. These are Shotokan masters that are 5th Dan and above that are recognized by their peers. The camp was the largest symposium on Bunkai of the Shotokan kata with lectures by noted authors and application practices all weekend. Pacticipants came from as far away as Nepal and Ireland. This camp saw well over 100 participants during Saturday alone. Seated in the front row is one of the largest group of senior North American Shotokan instructors Lto R: Jerry Larson, Tom Frobel, Georges Aschkar Jr., Salvatore Lopresti Sr., Nick Palise, Ron Romano, Richard Gould, Bruce Clayton, Doc Stricevic, Paul Allan, Paul Lopresti. Countless years of experience in Shotokan karate at your fingertips all weekend. Dont miss 2008!!!!

International Training Camp 2006

1st USA SKF International Training Camp

April 2006

This camp was the birth of the USA SKF. Truly a non political organization, there were instructors from JSKA, AJKA, ASKF, ASI, and other independant organizations on hand to teach and train. A tremendous opportunity for sharing. The turnout was impressive and everyone had fun, learned and sweated a lot and agree to return in 2007. It was also the host for the first USA SKF Junior Karate Championships.
