9/5/10 We will be back at the Seaview once again in 2011. While we all had fun on the Boardwalk of Atlantic City last year, we decided that we needed more room for participants, so we were able to get additional training rooms at our old haunts. The Seaview is a fantastic resort only a few short miles from the World Famous Atlantic City Boardwalk. They have a great buffet style breakfast that was sorely missed last year as well. Please be on the look out for the instructor list coming soon.

4/3/10 We look foward to bringing you the 2011 World Camp. We will email all of this years participants with the new dates when we get the registration packets completed. The dates will not be announced on these webpages as we are in the process of a complete overhaul. Needless to say we will be back in Atlantic City once again as we have had a tremendous amount of success in America's Playground. We had over 100 participants this year again. THANK YOU!!!!!!! We plan on making a few changes to enhance your experience based on the surveys we had you, the participants, fill out. If you did not get a chance to complete and survey and want one sent to you please email us for one.

3/24/10 WOW another hugely successful camp!!! Thanks to all those who supported and came out this year. All of the Masters were at their finest with the newest most innovative training methods out there. Doc Stricevic and Sensei Safar, two legends, really added the traditional elements and brought many many years and depth to the training. We are already excited for next year. We will be having a new look to our Unitedkai.com pages soon. And hopefully a new look here. Please check back soon.

12/14/09 Sensei Yokota of the IJKA has agreed to return to the camp for 2010. We are looking foward to his return.

9/14/09 We will be holding a International UKAI Dan Examination at camp. Be on the lookout for details and requirements as well as the registration information.

8/14/09 We are announcing today that a Shotokan legend will be coming to camp this year. Leslie Safar, 9th Dan, AJKA-I of Hungary has accepted our invitation to present master classes at our 2010 camp. Sensei Safar is the first instructor of many of our senior UKAI students and instructors and is the founder of the South Jersey Karate Club which is continued today by Lopresti's Mixed Martial Arts and Shotokan Karatejutsu in Sewell, NJ.

7/28/09 Dates and venue are in The Chelsea right on the Atlantic City boardwalk. March 18-21st 2010. Get ready!!!!!! We will be posting information as soon as we get confirmations.

7/22/09 Just getting the contracts signed for 2010's World Camp. We will post all the information as soon as it is ready. Hope everyone is having a good summer!!!!

3/30/09 WOW!!!!!!! Another successful camp. Thank you to all those who camp from great lengths to be with us once again as well as the new friends we were able to meet and share with. This was the most successful camp we have had to date. So many new organizations and new countries growing together is what this event is all about. We will very shortly be updating this site to announce next years event. Check back early and often.

2/16/09 Sensei John Mullin of the WTKO has agreed to spend a couple of days at this year's UKAI camp bringing his many years of experience to the event. Please make sure you try to spend some time learning from this well respected senior American karateka.

2/14/09 Happy Valentines Day. Please check the camp schedule tab as we have finally posted the camp schedule. We hope that you will find plenty of opportunities no matter what level of training you have had. As always, the schedule is a tenative set of events and may be modified due to student participation and instructor availibility. There are tons of classes for evey level and we are sure you will find plenty of opportunity to see your favorite instructors or meet some new ones. See you all soon.

1/28/09 Camp is right around the corner and we are going to be having some new special guests from Bermuda. Trevor Williams is a senior karateka on the island and he will be bringing his talents to our World training opportunity. Register today as time is running out. Camp schedule is being finalized so look for it within the next week or so.

11/21/08 www.UnitedKai.com has been launched. This is a new traditional karate organization with senior Western karateka at the helm. Please stop by and take a look.

11/15/08 We are proud to announce our new name U-KAI which stands for United Karate Associations International. A name that is synonomous with family. Be on the lookout for our new seal.

11/10/08 We are announcing a temporary and perhaps permanent name change. Due to circumstances beyond our immediate control one of the founding members decided to copyright and trademark the name IUKO and logo for his own reasons. The remaining three founding members of that group and some new friends, have decided to move on with our mission of collecting serious and dedicated karate students and instructors from around the USA. Our name will reflect the broader family of Shotokan karateka as well as the serious study of this and other traditional karate systems as a deadly fighting art. We have been able to extend our reach to Europe and now Asia. As we prepare for tremendous growth, we welcome you to our showcase event here in the United States, our World Camp 2009.

9/30/08 Plans are underway to choose classes, times, and instructors. Please check back often as updates will be posted asap. This year we plan to have a banquet at the resort on one of the evenings.

4/4/08 Dates are confirmed for next years camp already!!! As promised we are hard at work organizing next years camp. We will be returning to the Seaview Mariott as we had overwhelming response to the location. We will get you all the information as soon as we get it. For now save the date!!! We will be having camp 2 weeks before Easter in 2009.

3/31/08 A HUGE success. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!! We have begun preparations for next year already. We hope to be back at the Seaview as we have had many positive compliments on the resort. So for now, lets hope we can return. We will keep their information here unless the venue changes.

3/26/08 One Day till camp begins. Please remember that you will need to check in with us or see Tony Savino to get your meal tickets. If you have any questions you may call 856-589-3818 which will forward to one camp coordinators phones. Leave a message and someone will get back to you. Everyone have a safe flight/trip down and we will see you Thursday evening.

2/13/08 IUKO 3rd Annual Youth Championship registration information has been uploaded. Please register ASAP so we can have accurate counts for medals.

12/19/07 Sensei Yokota has agreed to teach one beginning Nunchaku class at camp. This class will be limited to the first dozen or so students and will be on first come first serve basis. You will need to bring a set of plastic or foam rubber covered nunchaku.

10/25/07 Sensei Kousaku Yokota, Chief Instructor of JKS Americas, has agreed to join us as a guest instructor. Sensei Yokota and Sensei Lopresti were on the ISKF National team together in the 70's under Sensei T. Okazaki.

10/20/07 Shihan Bruce Clayton has agreed to once again lecture and teach some of the historical aspects of Heian Godan kata. This 90 minute lecture/class will be the second in his lecture series which he began at camp 2007. Sensei Clayton will also be bringing books for purchase that he will sign for participants as well.

9/15/07 An informational brochure is being produced for all interested persons. It will detail our camp and the activities. The class list is being formed and will be available after October 15th. Please check back soon.

8/18/07 Mixed martial arts training classes will be held this year so you can be better prepared to offer Shotokan karate as the Worlds Ultimate Mixed Martial Art at your dojo. The classes will focus on warm up drills, and basic exercises in grappling, takedowns and submissions all found within our kata. As well as how to incorporate our already strong punching kicking and striking tactics.

We will also be offering a class in Katori Shinto Ryu swordsmanship. This basic class will cover fundamental postures as well as a unique two person drill handed down by Master Patrick McCarthy to one of our camp instructors.
